Ralf Rangnick appointed as Manchester United's interim manager
German coach takes over until the end of the season
Rangnick had previously been interviewed for the job at Manchester United
Manchester United have appointed Ralf Rangnick as their interim manager until the end of the season, subject to work visa requirements.
Rangnick, 63, has a wealth of experience in management, having previously coached Schalke, Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig.
He is known for his attacking style of play and his ability to develop young players.
Rangnick's appointment comes after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked as manager following a poor run of results.
Manchester United are currently eighth in the Premier League, 12 points behind leaders Chelsea.
Rangnick's first game in charge will be against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
